Abstract

As diseases are increasing day by day, there is an increasing demand of medicines. Most of the synthesized medicinal compounds are gaining their importance. Then can make a space for them in treating disease but some of them are associated with several side effects which may be cancerous. These factors are attracting the attention of researchers towards natural herbal drugs in fighting and treating diseases. Herbal drugs are not only available easily but also have less or fewer side effects thus making them the first choice to treat diseases. Bryophyllum pinnatum commonly known as Patharchat. B. pinnatum contain several medicinally active biomolecules which possess several pharmacological properties in treating or fighting with diseases such as antiulcer, antibacterial, wound healing property, anti-inflammatory, neuropharmacological properties etc. Therefore, we have focused our interest on one of the medicinal plants in the present review.
