Abstract

The “water level fluctuation zone (WLFZ)” has practiced an innovative hydrological system due to the antiseasonal process of “China’s Three Gorges Reservoir (TGR)”. In general, hydrological change may essentially impact the riparian environment and change the riparian flora. In spite of the fact that various studies have examined the flooding and submergence reactions of riparian vegetation to rainwater level variation in this region, some have tended to the photosynthesis and respiratory metabolic adjustment techniques of riparian plant's composition. This review paper illustrated the impacts of flooding and submergence on the photosynthesis and respiratory metabolic adjustment procedures of riparian plants, we clarified the mechanism of flooding Resistance. This review provided a few investigate approaches, research gaps, and future research subjects. The information in this review paper might help in resulting in modern control methodologies for this type of submergence and flooding.
