Abstract

Triple Negative Breast Cancer (TNBC) is a type of breast cancer with short survival rates. It is an aggressive malignancy with large size. It is also more resistant to chemotherapy & is highly proliferative. They have higher concentration of stem cells & immune cells compared to other breast cancers. A top-notch mitochondrial pool is necessary for these alterations to work. The health of the mitochondria is continuously assessed by mitochondrial dynamics (cycles of fusion and fission). Recent advances in the knowledge of mitochondrial dynamics in TNBC have demonstrated their critical function in the growth and spread of tumours.
